As Requested by Arcade Fever, I'm duplicating my posts from Dragon's Lair Fans for enjoyment here. So Here we are:
Part 1: My Dream Coming True:
Hello everyone out there on the Dragon's Lair Fans Board!.. I have a cool story to tell, Kinda long introduction, but if I drone on and on, forgive me
Like all of you who love videogames to the MAX... I love them too. and can't get enough of them. From the first time I saw Asteroids at my local skating rink in 1979, I was hooked.
As a kid I starved at school, because I spent my lunch money at the arcade! As the months (years) went by, I hated it when they switched out machines and you never saw ones you liked ever again! I really REALLY miss the days when you could go to Pizza Hut, and there was GALAGA in the corner right next to the jukebox, just DYING to be played!!!!! I miss the days when you could go to the 7-11 store and they had a tiny arcade room in the back!!!! you would walk in the store and see the flikcering screens just calling you back there..
Seeing that this was my all time favorite thing to do, in 1991 (when I finally had some hard earned $$$) I set out to find me a Dragon's Lair, It was hard, but I found one.. I restored it, doesn't look original, but it's great! Later, I found a few more machines, not in the best shape but playable and fun. Also in 1991, I believe the best game ever came out.. Sonic The Hedgehog.. I love the game soooo much, I started collecting everything videogame related, wheather it be a Sonic The Hedgehog figure or a Nintendo Neon Sign.
At the time I was living with my parents, so I could spend all I wanted on my geekeyness! But I was having one small problem... R O O M !
I had ran out. So I stared storing everying away I got, with the hopes of one day having a little room 8) to put it in one day.
Jumping to the future.. . (2001) I got married to a wonderful girl who put up with my crazyness. After a few years of saving, the time finally came for us to build our house! and the only way I would have my dream game room was to include it in the mortgage.
CONSTRUCTION PHASE:
10 - 9- 2006:
The following Pix shows the Foundation prep:
The Foundation had to be raised 24'' due to low lying conditions.
As you can see the house is progressing faster than the gameroom, The homebuilder requested that the framers finish first before the metal building people came in...
Now the raised pad is ready:
11-18-2006:
The Next Pix shows the beams placed, the foundation form placed and the concrete poured:
Arrruggghhh.... The rain started during the concrete pour... took all day to smooth out... Should've only took an hour. Concrete has to be perfect for placement of carpet!!!.. Finally the rain let up, and this is the result:!!
12-12-2006:
SOON: The grand entrance to "Yesterdays" (more on the name later) :)
FRAMING BEGINS:
1-13-2007
As you can see here, I chose to use a METAL BUILDING. To use a "normal" construction, with wood stud walls and roof shingles was a much higher price!!! I just used the thickest available insulation for the walls, and matched the metal colors to the house.. Also, It is just as strong if not stronger structure!, No worry about leaks, ( sealed up tight) termites, or flooding!!!
Next Stages Of Framing:
Here I am with a SMILE!!!
Walls Now Start...
2-8-2007
Electric Service is Connected to building:
2-10-2007
Walls almost complete, Roof begins, as well as electrical wiring, Notice how thick the insulation is... Also, the insulation is plastic backed, giving the appearance of drywall.
These outlets surround the room, notice the switch, it will make it easy to turn on and off the games!
Here's the Current Exterior View:
2-20-2007:
2-22-07 Air Conditioning and Carpet on the SAME DAY!!!!
Carpet Installation like this is very hard... matching up all those shapes & colors.. Cool Fact: I chose this carpet for 2 reasons... It's ACTUAL Arcade Carpet & it GLOWS under Blacklights!!!!
Hard to believe that this is a 2 ton A/C & Heater!!!
Here are a few quick peeks of the finished outside:
To Be Continued!!!!.... Much MUCH MORE TO COME...
Please check in for updates in the "Final Part" posting. Thank you very much for reading my post on my dream coming true!!
Part 2: The Display Cases
Ok.. Heres's the tale, As I was saying in the first post, I love everything about videogames, including all the collectible items that have came out. I'm kinda like a crack addict lol when it comes to a videogame. And I can never get enough of them.. As much as I love Fullsize Standup Arcade Machines, I also very much love Home Videogame Systems.
In 1991, My favorite videogame hero, (besides Dirk lol) Sonic The Hedgehog arrived on the scene!! It caught my attention... With the awesome graphics and outstanding Stereo Sound!! I played it again and again!.. Then in 1992, Sonic The Hedgehog 2 arrived.. Even Better!!! It was that same year, I went to the store and saw a cool little Sonic The Hedgehog character bubblegum container. Wow, I snached it up and took it home and placed it on my Sega Genesis!! Not long after, I began to see more Sonic related stuff, posters, toys, cans of Spagettio's,. I also drove store managers CRAZY untill they let me have any and all Sonic The Hedgehog posters and displays!!!
As the years went by, My collecting spread out to include every videogame I've ever liked, wheather it be a Arcade or Home Videogame.. It's pretty cool to have a Dragon's Lair Poster next to your Dragon's Lair Machine, Or Banjo-Kazooie posters next to your Nintendo 64!!!
What made me happy is how easy it was to find most of the collection I have.. Most of the items (except store bought items) I got for FREE... When a Store would do a remodel or relocate, they would just throw everything away.. Forgive me for the complaint I'm about to make.. but I hate eBAy for this reason.. Now, any videogame poster or display for any CURRENTY videogame I cannot get, due to the fact of store employees taking them soley to sell on eBay!! And, It's WAY harder to find the stuff I used to get easily for next to nothing/ free
Anyway Anyway.. After 15 years of collecing everything videogame related besides Arcade machines.. I've amassed a large collection, and I was worried on where am I gonna put all this stuff?? I don't want to put the goodies out on open shelves, I don't want to be dusting them all the time...
In 2003, the store known as K Mart was closing it's doors in all of TEXAS, As soon as I heard of the closing, I immeadately wet to the store and put my name down on the Store Fixtures Request List. This was to get all of the Videogame Display Cases... S C O R E... I Got them!! From 2 different stores in the Baytown & Houston locations.. So, I set out to get them...
2-22-2003 : Here they are!!!
Just Can't Wait to get them outa here!! Wow... Soo Cool, as you can see, Nintendo and PlayStation is ETCHED into the Glass!!!!
Ahhheemmm... Sorry litte girl, I'm afriaid I'm gonna have to ask to to stop playing my Game Boy Advance, Please, Thank you.. LOL  (I didn't do that, J/K)
3-22-2003: Joy!!
The deal has been made.. As you can see the store is already closed and the merchandise is gone.. Now I can start to take them apart!!
4-14-2003:
Here I am at another Kmart location, getting their cases, Boy, I'm glad I did, Now I have 40' of Display Cases.. That's 32 Glass Doors, Man It was hard to get all this home.. Glass is scary.. If it were not for this store closing, I don't know what I would've done.. To buy this stuff new, the price would've been unreachable...
You can see why I'm sooooooo Happy!! The Cases are a PERFECT MATCH!!
Exaxtly the colors of Sonic The Hedgehog!!!!
12-15-2006: Here is where they sat for 4 years!!!
12-16-2006: Figuring It Out...
Now that the gameroom construction is underway, I have to figure out how to recreate the store shelves.. I would've took them, but they were too shallow.. So with the help of my best friend out at work, we banged our heads together & got a plan.. Here is a Test Run of the cases to make sure the idea works...
As you see in the picture, I chose to put the cases back to back 20' on each side with 40' total, This will allow a great view on each side of the game room, and will not take up the wall space.
Time For Prep & Paint!!!
These are the tops of the display cases, This is where I made the adjustment to make the cases deeper, I simply added a 2X6 to the top and followed on from there on the dimensions!
The Final Colors!!! :)
1-26-2007 :
Finished and ready to be taken to the gameroom upon completion:
5-08-2007 Assembly BEGINS!!!!!
As you can see here, the colors I chose just POP out at you!! Perfect!!!!
One Side Finished... Now to the other..... You can see Sonic The hedgehog & Tails the Fox in the background here.. Just waiting to get on their display stand!! (more on this lucky find later )
Another View:
They're coming together very well:
Current Progress: It's now 10:30... Gotta take a break for today..
Next up, Finishing the sides, and Hanging The Glass Shelves.. Stay Tuned!!!
UPDATE: 5-23-2007:
Yes, the progress seems to be slow, there are many tedious little steps.
The first was to measure, paint & hang the shelf brackets... as you can see they tured out great!! Also, While I was hanging the brackets, My wife, Stacy was cleaning all the glass doors! Just look at 'em SHINE :)
Next up: The light panels. This was a potential problem.. The top of the cases was made like a 'cage' I didn't want dust to settle down in the cases, so I thought it would be a great idea to cover it with plexiglass... but it was sooo expensive.. while I was looking around at the Home Depot, I found plexi made for 4' commercial fixutres.. PERFECT!!!
I used a scoring tool and cut them to the size of the opening and this is the results:
Since these are made for flourescent lights.. it will work out great! It will balance the light as well!
Now, It's time for the light fixtures:
Had to buy alot of bulbs!!!
You may not have noticed, but the light tubes have a special UV Protective sleeve around it to prevent fading. Just a FYI: Flourescent lights will fade things rapidly.. If you use them for stuff like this, be sure to take the same precautions.
Now to place the light fixtures on top!! (still some final electrical to be done up here)
Here is a test run on the lights:
Now It's time for the display case footplates mounting:
Just used some LIquid Nails & special painter's tape to hold them untill the adhesive cures.
In the next pix you can see more of the same with the finished side trim:
And after a long night of cleaning glass, My wife Stacy, Crashed on the recliner while I finished up.. (she's gonna be pissed when she sees this) LOL        "don't fall asleep in here"
If It were not for my loving wife, My dream game room would forever remain a dream. Thank You Stacy !!!
More Updates Soon.... STAY TUNED :) :)
PREVIEW: It will be time to open all these BOXES!!!
UPDATE !! 06-07-2007:
Opening all the boxes...
A SPECIAL NOTE TO COLLECTORS:
There are some things that you CAN NOT save, as I've learned here:
Oh, NO.. I lost my cans of Sonic The Hedgehog Spaghettio's..
As you can see, the cans are rusting through... the food inside has long gone bad... (expired in 1997, bought it in 1995)
Luckily they did not leak beyond the bubblewrap. I reallllly hate to loose these.. It's the unusual stuff like this that make a cool collection.
Now, with all the boxes opened, Time to sort, and place in the display cases.. Now you can see what I've been upto for the past 15 years. No, I'm NOT the 40 year old virgin!. (almost was)
Here is something interesting!!!... I found my original artwork from art class at school... I made this in 1984!! I never throw anything videogame related away, and I'm glad I held on to this!! Now you know that Dragon's Lair was always on my mind!!! Actually, for many years, my sister had this hanging in her room!! Now, before you see the picture, let's keep the laughter to a minimum.... I'm definately no artist, and it surely wouldn't get me past the front gate at Don Bluth's Studios!!
I will be proudly hanging this next to my Dragon's Lair machine soon!!!
More Updates soon!
Please check in for updates in the "Final Part" posting. Thank you very much for reading my post on my dream coming true!!
Part 3: Naming The Room / Roadtrip
Hello again, As you've read in the first 2 posts, this is a huge project with several sub projects! Don't worry, I'll post the updates for each post as soon as I can!
Now, How I decided to name my Dream Game Room,
Let's take the Way-Back-Machine to 1980.... In Baytown where I grew up, a brand new shopping mall was built, The San Jacinto Mall! It was like a fantasyland for me! Of course, I've seen videogames before.. but I never seen anyting like this.. a massive room FILLED with videogames... I was in Heaven!!... You remember how yours looked: You walk in, several ceiling fans with dimmed lights.. cool colored carpet, and the wonderful sighs & sounds of videogames everywhere!!!
and POOF! you're lunch money is G O N E!
Our gameroom or arcade was called Yesterdays.. It was named like that kinda as a joke or pun, because it had an old fashioned soda fountain look, and it had state of the art videogames in it.
All through my teenage years, Any visit to the mall REQUIRED a stop in Yesterdays for some fun.. Then in 1990, the arcade did a renovation, and the Yesterday's sign was removed, and renamed Power Play. As the 90's progressed, and I started collecting, a thought crossed my mind...
"Dammit, I wish I would've asked the construction crew for that sign, I bet they threw it in the dumpster"
It would've been Soooooooo Coooooool To have that sign!
Around 2004, While we were saving and planning to build, I thought I would give it a try to see if somehow someway that sign may still exist! So, I went to the mall, and turns out that the arcade is still owned by the same people after all these years.. Upon reaching the owner, she said they might still have them, they were NOT thrown away! After a few years of searching, and putting up with my pestering....... 8)
Success, the sign is FOUND!! (Summer 2006) It's in an old wharehouse in Mississippi.
"You're welcome to come and get it"
August 24, 2006:
That very day a roadtrip is planned!!!
Yes, Crazy me drove for 7 hours to get this sign!!! My wife, Stacy was happy that we were able to find it... We arrived in Meridan, MS about 10:00 or so... Checked into a local motel, we were to meet someone at the warehouse in the morining...
We arrived at the warehouse, and here is what we saw first...
As you can see, the body is in o.k. condition, but the Marquee is totally water damaged. I asked hoping that there was another..
"Under that pile of junk, if you want to move it there is another"
I'LL DO IT!!!!!!!
There was a lot of "junk" but I moved it!!
Heart breaking & depressing to see stuff like this:
While taking a short break, I got a peek in the wharehouse and saw this:
Arruggghhhh I want a TRON!!...
Videogame Related Goodies EVERYWHERE!!!!...
Break's Over... Back to work... Another Unexpected Find...
This is the original sign for the short lived second mall arcade "Fireworks"
I hope they will let me take this one too...
And right underneath is jsut what I'm looking for:
Just what I was hoping for... The marquee is fine, repairable shape!! So, I remove it and take the other sign body... An hour or so later... here I am.. tired & dirty...
Time to load the sign up in the truck:
The sign is 13' long.. looks like it will tump over my litte Nissan Frontier!
Now that I've got it home... First, Time to Sand, Primer and Paint the outer body..
Interior Primer Done.. Now for the exterior prep:
I'm sure by now you've noticed the light sockets that surround the marquee opening... Yep.. There are 82 Sockets...
82 lightbulbs to get
Exterior Priming: I was soo glad that the damage was not worse... Remember, (I can't believe it) That this sign has been sitting in the weather on this loading dock since 1990!!! 16 YEARS!!
Now for the COLORS!!... White trim around the marquee edge and red for the lightbulb surround...
Now, I know the back isn't all that important, but I want it all nice and neat, so now to make the back look great too!...
After several coats, the back now looks great!!
Now it's time to get the marquee looking like a champ!!!
First I had to flatten it out, (sorry no pix) They were a little warped (made of 1/4'' plywood) So I just sprayed them wet with the waterhose, and put them on a flat surface with another board on top with lots of weight, as the wood dries, it will flatten out.
Next, Sanding and wood filler:
Now that the sanding is done, Now it's time for the COLOR!!
Cool: The Painting made a mirror image on the cardboard protecing the sign:
Now it's time to attach the transparent blue pexiglass to the back of the sign: This gives the lettering the cool blue glow.
Lots of caulk to make sure it stays in place.. you can see the sign is in seperate 6' lenghts.. So I had to puzzle around to figure out how to glue it together while staying seperate pieces..
Piled alot of crap on top to insure a good tight bond on the caulk!
Success! Now lets flip it over to glue on the small letter pieces!
Now, Here I sit untill I can be hung in the new gameroom.
Coming Soon... Buying all those lightbulbs... and hanging the sign....
Yesterdays... FOREVER!!!!!
UPDATE: 5-24-2007...
Time to get the sign up on the main support beam.... The first thing was to cut a section from a 4'X8' sheet of 3/4'' plywood. Had to use the strongest plywood, the sign is somewhat heavy!
Thank goodness, My friend Manuel was there to help me lift this beast!!
As soon as we lifted the sign into place.. I quickly moved in to get the mounting screws secured...
As you can see here, the sign will get lots of attention when you walk in the room...
Oh, and about those 82 bulbs to get....
Here they are!!..............
Next up... Plaacing the bulbs and installing the marquee!!
Stay Tuned!!
Please check in for updates in the "Final Part" posting. Thank you very much for reading my post on my dream coming true!!
Part 4: Yesterdays Coming Together!!
Hello everyone!!! Thank you very much for your kind responses to my dream coming true!! All the work, waiting, and patience has finally paid off!
In my other posts, There were individual stories about the room constuction, the display cases, and finally the Yesterday's sign. I basically wanted to have those stories seperate, they have had their own tale to be told. I believe that no more can be said on an individual project basis...
Now to make the posting easier (for me and you) 8) 8) 8) ....
I will now post all updates and finising touches here!
Here is the finished outside of Yesterdays!!!
The Entrance!!
Please check back here for current updates!!! More to come faster.. man I'm tired, was up till 2:30 again!!!
As Promised, More Updates!!! 7-13-07
Now, Here's the fun part, The only way to make progress now is to open everything up..... Posters, Signs, Displays, as wellas the Arcade Games.. So now it's time to play move the piles 'o stuff around again and again... 8)
This is the only way to figure out where everything will go! First, Opening all the display signs:
After opening most of the signs, the next step is to start re-assembling the display stations.. the first.. my favorite... My N64!!!!!!
Of course I plugged it in and played Super Mario 64 for a few minutes!!!
This is one of my more awesome display signs.. Any of you Nights Into Dreams fans? This is a 4' tall 3D disiplay sign that changes depending on which direction you look at it..
I plugged it in just to make sure all's well:
After the N64 display, I was able to get to a few of the arcade games.
Before I moved, I cleaned everything very well, so all I have to do is unwrap and enjoy!
Note, this is not permanent placement.. still shifting sorting etc....
Oh... a TIP for you.. All of you out there who have a Dragon's Lair 2 Machine knows it weighs 40 BILLION TONS! I opened it up to see where the bags of sand are hidden!!  After nearly killing myself trying to move it. I figured out a much easier way!! Here It is:
Just screw the leveler legs all the way till they are flat to the bottom of the machine, then just attach these to the bottom near where the legs go,
Now you can "slide" the machine around much easier...
Here is my collection of various Dragon's Lair Laserdisc Players:
Here is my Terminator 2 Pinball Machine.. Underneath the machine, see all the poster tubes... that is one of the next projects... Got lots 'o posters!
Oh, By the way, Did I mention i'm a Simpsons fanatic?
Time to get back to work... More updates soon!!!
Update: 6-14-07: Another up-all-nighter assembling Display Stations!!
This one here is my Nintendo Power Preview Station. It is a kiosk where you can watch commercials about upcoming Nintendo gaames. What's cool about it is that it runs on a VCD player. You just touch the name of the game you want to hear about, and you see the commercial!
Here we have a Sega Saturn Display Station. Of COURSE I have a Sonic The Hedgehog game in it!!
More to come!!!....
UPDATE! 6-18-07: Electrical Complete!!!
That mans I can finally complete this project: !!!!!!!!!
Ohh,,, Man!! I'm sooo happy with the way this turned out!! I have not seen it turned on or anything untill NOW! I did the restoration, then made sure the lights worked, and only when in the gameroom would I turn it on!! I haven't seen this since 1990!!! YESTERDAYS FOREVER!!!!!!!
As you can see here, The sign has 82 lighs and it is VERY bright!!!
And you can see that the Display Cases now have their light!!
As much as I love the Yesterdays Sign, It is a little too bright for the gameroom, I don't want it to wash out the other signs and create a glare, After all, It was made for inside a big Mall ,So I came up with this idea:
Unscrew every other light just a little to turn it off and it gives the sign a cool "chase" look. and still looks GREAT, and reduces the brightness!!
Looks GREAT!!!
Here's a GEM: I kept a flyer from the mall back in 1983!! Promoting Dragon's Lair... AT YESTERDAYS!!!!! JOY!!!!
Of Course, you know which games will have their home under the Yesterday's Sign:
More Updates Soon!!
Updates Today... 7-25-07:
Sonic & Tails proudy on display:
Finally, The Dragon's Lairs are home!!! (please ignore my stupid looking shorts)
Here I'm installing the deck above the display cases for more display space...
Now I can add more stuff on display up here, The key is to maximize on your space... I've had lots of practice on this! Believe me, I've had most of my collection in a 10' X 12 room with my bed!! Take a look at my "game room" while the dream was still a dream:
Everything on shelves, had to be repeatedly dusted:
Here is my spot where I played home videogame systems, Yes It's cramped!!
Another view:
More updates soon!
UPDATES... 7-7-07 Weekend:
Sorry for the delay in updates... My wife, Stacy was ready to have our Housewarming party, and invite people over to see the house... So I had to work very hard & fast last week to get the gameroom in presentable condition.. ...
Believe me, It was hard work, and I'm almost finished.. I had to hide the remainder of my collection so we could have guests in Yesterdays!!
As requested, I have a few pix of the party, but rest assured, I will take some more soon.. These are a few "general shots" and with entertaining our guests, it was hard to get that "perfect picture"
Please give me a little more time, and I will get more pix to you... A hint for then, ... The Blacklight effects turned out better than I hoped!! Untill then, here's the pix...
More Updates soon... Gotta take a break!!! Thanks for your patience
UPDATE: 10 -4- 07..... Why there have been no recent updates....
In a previous post, I mentioned getting a de-humidifer... Well here's what happened.. My A/C really hasn't been working right from the start, and about a month ago it stopped working completely! Here is the nightmarish sequence:
1. Broke down.... took a week to get parts. (thank God for the de-humidifer)
2. Died again 3 days later... Coolant line burst.
3. Died again next day, PCB Fried
4. Died Yet Again!.. Unit Freezing over, causing a LEAK inside on my Nintendo Display Staion! I caught it in time before any damage occured.
5. The last straw.. the company replaced the entire unit.
Now, the unit is working fine.. (FINALLY)
Lucky me got a TOTAL Lemon.. To make sure this never happens again (leak) The service tech made me a special overflow pan to go under the unit for "just in case"
I did my best to paint it and make it less noticeable as you can see here:
Now, if there is ever a leak again, it will all drain outside!!
Now that this nightmare is finished, I can go back to work!
Now I can finally get out all the banner posters to hang!! Joy!! Also, I've started re-arranging the whole room while this work was going on.
It gave me time to think of a better arrangement of everything in the room.
Well I can't blame the A/C for not getting anything done last week... 4 words will cover that:
HALO 3 WAS RELEASED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Definately needed a break, a little fun, that A/C Really stressed me out!)
I Will update very soon with lots 'o pix!!!
UPDATE 12-06-07 The War of the AC Rages on!
Unbelievable, again the ac has failed. After repeated attempts with the company to solve the situation, they refuse to help me. Therefore we are now seeking legal
action. At this time we are having another A/C company install a new unit, hopefully to be done on monday. One thing for sure... I'm gonna do an OFFICE SPACE on
that A/C when it is taken out!!! DIE M*** F**** DIE!!!!!!
The worst thing about all these problems... it's slowing me down on all my projects in the game room! Sorry about no recent pix updates.... Will definately take pix
of the old system coming out and the new one going in... and I will definately want you to see the old system so that you will avoid this brand like the plague!!! Will
update soon... Where's the Tylenol???????
UPDATE 12 - 10 - 07 The NEW Proper A/C System Is Going in.... and the WORTHLESS P.O.S. Is gettin' the boot!
As I've said in the previous post, We've contacted another A/C company.. (and they're good people and do a great job!!) and now exactly what we needed is being
put in YESTERDAYS!!! ;D ;D
Preparing to take the POS out!!!
Now that this is the proper size unit for my gameroom, It will have Air Ducts for proper air flow distrobution. Rather then have them look silvery, I'm painting them red & blue.. Now they look like Mario Bros. Pipes!!! Joy ;D ;D
Now, the equipment is being brought in, The bottom is the return air duct, They made a nice stand for this, and I did my handywork on it, so it will match the display cases!!
Now the outdoor compressor unit is being installed, Notice how much bigger the new unit is compared to the old one... Oh, and just a note... The company I'm using now said this old unit was WAYYYYYY to small for my gameroom. (jokingly they said it would be good for a closet or shoebox) I feel very confidant that this unit will do a great job for years!!!
As you can see here the indoor part of the unit is going to be way bigger than the old, No problem.. I will do more of my handywork on it and decorate it with gameroom goodies!!
Now you can see the dramatiac difference in the units.....
The Old POS...
More painting of the ducts and trim...
As of quitting time today... They will return tomorrow to finish....
UPDATE 12-21-07 A/C & Heating system works GREAT!! (Pictures to follow soon!)
Finally this is taken care of! Now since my last post, the system has been installed and is working GREAT!!! It even has an awesome feature known
as "Auto Changeover" What this means is that I have set the Minimum temperature to 74 'F , If it drops below 74 'F, the heat will come on
automatically and bring the temperature back up to 74 'F. If the temperature rises above 77 'F It will switch over to A/C and maintain a cooling
temperature of 77 'F !!! This is very helpful on the gulf coast, since we can have cold nights and warm days during the winter!!
Now, I was able to finish organizing the gameroom and do a final cleanup! I will do a walkthough video with a youtube link very soon. as well as post
alot of pictures of the room. Check back soon!!
Part 5: The Yesterdays Tour
Hello, After 10 months of work and taking care of a few bugs that have come up, I have finally finished
my gaming room! With the exception of a few captions, I will let the pictures do the talking.
Also, there will be a YouTube Video Tour at the end. Enjoy!!! Sonic 1992

Hello All!
Recently I was contacted by the Videogame Channel G4, They wanted to feature Yesterdays on their show X-Play ;D
Bruno, you'll be happy to know they found me via this website!! The interview happened yesterday, I took about 5
hours for the interviews and the filiming of the gameroom! I was soooo nervous!! I was making sure I didn't sound like a
Dork on national TV.!!! LOL   Even if i sounded like one.... I Don't Care!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
I have only a few pictures because this time I was actually in front of the camera rather than behind!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Myself pictured with G4TV Producer Mike Benson:
The Camera Crew in action!!
This episode of X-Play should be aired sometime in January!! JOY!!! ;D ;D
If I find out the exact day (they will try to let me know) I'll let everyone know via this post!!
Oh, and one more thing, Bruno... I gave a shout out to you and your website mentioning Arcade Lifestyle!! and talked a great deal
about game collecting, as well as discussing Dragon's Lair! I don't know if this part will make it on the air, (they filmed several hours of
footage, but it will be edited down to a 2-3 minute segment) but I made sure to mention
you!!! ;D ;D ;D
UPDATE!!! 2-16-2008
As Promised, Here is Yesterdays as seen on G4TV's X Play.... Yes I was nervous!!
Enjoy!!!
