Just a note of clarification on the joysticks.
1. Sanwa is a company which produces a variety of sticks. You can check out some of the models @ Lizard Lick
2. The main difference between the JLF and JLW models is the cabling. The JLF has a small 5-pin connector and respective wires. Gound is common, so all you have to do is connect 1 ground, 4 directions, and you are set. Instead, the JLW has four microswitches and is just like any other joystick on the market (except some Seimitsu ones).
3. Andy from Ultimarc calls the Sanwa sticks as "J-Stick Ball Top" and has them in red only. The ones he sells are JLW, and not JLF. He also sells all colours of ball tops for those. They work great, feel great, and are an excellent choice.
4. A good place to buy the JLF type is @ Coinopexpress. I bought 5 of them for less than $12 each. Dunno why they don't have a price tag on them any more, I know they didn't have it in red. |
